Random pictures from the year lie below the cut, in chronological order. I’d make some sort of smug dial-up comment here, but jedimentat wants me to hurry up and do yoga like the enlightened man that she thinks I am.
Thousands and thousands of words.

I just realized, looking back at my first post of 2007, that jedimentat was the first person to comment on my LJ this year. And now, like, we’re together and stuff. So odd.
Last year, I posted a recap meme. Instead of filling out the poll that everyone and their grandmother took, I’m just going to do that again.
Another year passed. It had its highs and lows, but was overall a great year, and not just due to the last few months. Learned a lot, in and out of the classroom, about the world and about myself. Met some awesome people, found myself in some fun and not so fun situations, and came out happier with a tale to tell at the far end of it all. And really, isn’t that all I ever hope for?
Happy New Year, everyone who uses the Gregorian calendar. Thanks for helping make an excellent 2007, and let’s have an amazing 2008!

To those who celebrate, I hope everyone had/is having a wonderful Christmas. Just got back from visiting cessna182‘s in-laws out in Brooklyn, from where we called quillter on the phone. Breakfast was with jedimentat‘s parents before they set out for a holiday season trip.
It’s been an entertaining holiday in terms of gift-giving. So far three gifts purchased by me have been duplicates of something the person just got that day or would get a day later. And three of my gifts I almost ended up buying myself, in two cases spoiling the surprise. I guess that just means that great minds are thinking alike, or I really know people/they know me as well as others know them/me. Or something. Whatever. Sleep now.
Oh, and I have a 360, thanks to jedimentat! Because my old Xbox Live Gamertag “Kingfox” was inactive for over a year (damn you WoW), I can’t get it back. That, as others have said a few times before, is utter horseshit. Anyway, if you’ve got a 360 add “KingfoxNinja” to your friends and mourn the loss of Kingfox.
Srsly, bed now.

October of last year, I posted about KINGFOX brand USB keys from China. Not to be content with tarnishing my good handle as a source of cheap data storage, KingFox Enterprises Limited recently CCed me on an email by mistake, letting me see their recent endeavors. They mostly sell electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). But they also sell sex products. That’s just no good.

Posted the first part last year, part two is out now. Twisted Christmas time!

As everyone else and their grandmother has posted to their journals.
You want a holiday card (possibly probably not arriving before your winter holiday of choice, but before some), you leave a comment with your address. Comments screened.
Also, if you’ve done a similar post or poll, and I haven’t replied to it, and it’s not too late, include a link please.

blackbytes and utini2 had managed to avoid the epic hip-hopera until now. Now they can’t tear themselves away.
As a bonus, here’s
jedimentat chopping the low hanging limbs off of a Christmas tree with a sword.
A sword? Yes, a sword. She didn’t have an axe or saw at her place, so we resorted to kitchen knives she didn’t care about. When that didn’t work well enough, she asked me to get her sword from her bedroom. I returned with a sword. “No, not that one, the one by my bed.” Yeah, she rules like that. Between the sword and pulverizing some bits with a hammer, we finally got it into the stand and decorated.

Last weekend we decided to nauseate people with matching socks and other antics.

We went to Kirkpatrick Chapel for the annual Christmas concert. One of my favorite moments included a Korean soloist for an island Christmas song. Actual lyrics (looking at the program now): “When old king Herod him lern dis news, him mad as him can be.” The gosphel and Eastern European songs were also awesome. After that we had White Castle, and she got to try one of their shakes for the first time.

Tomorrow morning is my French final. Wheefun.
Bootleg trailers for the
next season of LOST and the
next Batman movie on the internet make me smile.
